Simple present adalah kalimat yang digunakan untuk menyatakan kegiatan sehari - hari dan kebiasaan.

Pola Kalimat

(+)    S + Verb 1 (s/es) + O/C

*subyek yang jamak di ikuti dengan verb 1

*subyek yang tunggal diikuti verb -s/-es

Example:

*She plays doll everyday

*They watch TV everyday

(−)    S + do/does + not + Verb 1 + O/C

*subyek yang jamak diikuti dengan do not

*subyek yang tunggal diikuti dengan does not

Example:

*She does not play doll everyday

*They do not watch TV everyday

(?)     Do/ Does + S + Verb 1 + O/C + ?

*subyek yang jamak diawali dengan Do

*subyek yang tunggal diawali dengan Does

Example:

* Does she play doll everyday?

* Do they watch TV everyday?

singular subject → he, she, it, singular noun

plural subject → they, we, I, you, plural noun
